The Chicago Bulls are hoping the 2024 NBA Draft can help boost a team that is in desperate need of young talent.

The Bulls have a chance for the number one pick, but it’s far more likely that they will stay put and choose in the 10-12 range.

Their highest odds are for the 11th pick, where they could still find value in a draft that is full of question marks and lacks clear star power at the top.

In a recent article on ESPN (subscription), draft experts Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo gave their predictions about what the Bulls might do if they stay at 11 or if they get lucky and jump into the top four.

Givony and Woo think the Bulls should target Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr, Rob Dillingham or Reed Sheppard if they get lucky and jump into the top four of the 2024 NBA Draft.

But they only have a 9.4 percent chance of making such a leap, while the Bulls have a 77.6 percent chance of staying at the 11th pick.

If they do, ESPN’s draft experts have them taking Isaiah Collier, the tank of a point guard out of USC, who has often been mocked in the top 10, while some having him falling out of the lottery altogether.

Collier might be the best shot creating point guard in the draft, as he can use his big frame and strength to get to his spots and knock down shots or create for others.

But does a point guard really make sense for the Chicago Bulls?

What Isaiah Collier would mean for the Chicago Bulls

Drafting a player like Collier (they also mentioned the two Kentucky guard Dillingham and Sheppard as possibilities if they fall) would be an indication that the Bulls are looking towards the future and not counting on Lonzo Ball to return.

Even if they do think Ball could come back after missing 2.5 seasons, he only has one year left on his deal, so the Bulls will need a point guard of the future to pair with Coby White.

Chicago needs talent all over the place, so they should probably just take the best player available and work out fit later, but a point guard does make sense and many think Collier will be the best one in this draft.
