Most valuable trade chips at the deadline for the Chicago Bulls: Patrick Williams

I will continue to reiterate the fact that the second-year former Florida State Seminoles forward Patrick Williams will be one of the least likely valuable trade chips for the Bulls to be dealt at the deadline. It seems like the only way that the Bulls’ front office is willing to part ways with Williams is if it is an unbeatable offer that really helps this team open up their title contender window this year.

That could be by trading for a big-time forward such as Grant. Barnes is another name mentioned as a possibility in terms of a player that the Bulls could give up Wiliams to get at the trade deadline this year.

But even giving up Williams for Barnes feels like too much of a high asking price from the Bulls. Considering the fact that the Kings just gave up a true king’s ransom to get star big man Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers, it would be difficult for Sacramento to make a convincing argument that they need Williams in return for Barnes.

Nonetheless, maybe there is another willing trade partner out there that could give the Bulls a piece we’re not even thinking about right now.

But it feels like the most probable scenario for the Bulls to give up Williams at the deadline will be for Grant and potentially another piece or two. It just feels too expensive for the Bulls to give up Williams otherwise. At least that should be the mindset for the front office heading into deadline day later this week.
