Less than two weeks away from the night of the 2021 NBA Draft, it is getting close to the time where the Chicago Bulls can add another future piece to this budding new core as the new front office regime and coaching staff are now established with the franchise. This will be the key summer for executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley.

The only pick that Karnisovas and the Bulls hold in the 2021 draft will come in the second round, at No. 38. The last time that the Bulls held the 38th overall pick in the NBA Draft was back in 2019 when the former front office regime of John Paxson and Gar Forman selected the ex-Arkansas Razorbacks center, Daniel Gafford.

Finding the right fit paramount for the Chicago Bulls at 38th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft

This could be the fourth time that the Bulls pick 38th overall in the draft, as long as Karnisovas doesn’t move out of this spot on draft night next week. All four of the Bulls’ 38th picks in the draft came since the turn of the century.

There are a plethora of options available for the Bulls with the 38th overall pick, and Karnisovas has made some magic in the second round before. The Bulls took the KK Mega Bemax big man Marko Simonovic 44th overall in the 2020 draft, and he found the reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic in the second round during his time as the Denver Nuggets general manager.

Here’s a look into three falling 2021 NBA Draft prospects that could be good for the Bulls to target at No. 38 overall.
