Less than two weeks away from the night of the 2021 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls are gearing up for what could be a rather quiet run compared to last year. The Bulls were busy on draft night 2020 last fall when the front office selected former Florida State Seminoles freshman forward Patrick Williams fourth overall in the first round.

And the Bulls also selected the KK Mega Bemax big man Marko Simonovic with the 44th overall pick in the second round of the 2020 draft. The selection of Simonovic had the fingerprints of executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas all over it. And it looks like, what seemed to be a gamble at the time, the selection of Williams is panning out well so far too.

But the only pick that the Bulls hold in the 2021 NBA Draft is 38th overall in the second round. The Bulls shipped off their 2021 first-round pick (with top-four protection) to the Orlando Magic in the trade deadline day deal back on March 25 that landed them namely star center Nikola Vucevic.

How did each 38th overall pick in Chicago Bulls franchise history turn out?

With the Bulls not getting the fortune of a jump on the night of the draft lottery to get into the top four and take their first-round pick back from the Magic, the second round is the only one that has this team in it at the moment.

This summer was expected to see most of the action happen in it for the Bulls via free agency and maybe even the trade market. While draft night could still hold some action ahead for Karnisovas and the Bulls, that likely won’t be the case. With that in mind, how have the Bulls drafted in the past at 38?

Here’s a look back at how every 38th overall draft pick in Bulls franchise history turned out.
