Chicago Bulls Value Free Agent Target from the Atlanta Hawks: Solomon Hill

If you haven’t noticed the trend yet, each of the players the Bulls could sign from the Conference finalists is best on the defensive end of the court. It makes sense, as the Bulls need defensive help desperately and the last remaining teams are inevitably going to have defensive-minded role players filling out their rosters.

This leads us to veteran forward Solomon Hill of the Atlanta Hawks. He beats out two former Chicago Bulls players in terms of upcoming free agents the Bulls could sign from the Hawks for a great value.

Those former Bulls are Tony Snell and Kris Dunn, two players the Bulls should be happy to avoid in free agency. Instead of either one of them, Hill is the right choice to consider bringing to the Bulls organization this offseason.

He won’t demand a lot in terms of salary, likely something similar to the $2,174,318 he is making this season with the Hawks. The Bulls will need to find solid players in that price range in order to successfully fill out their roster this offseason and Hill would be an ideal addition.

He has made over $50,000,000 in his NBA career so far, according to Spotrac. At this point, he is likely to sign some team-friendly deals in the coming years and offer whoever signs him a potential steal if they use him correctly.

He has been struggling with his shot but still holds great value as an on-ball defender. He won’t shy away from playing physically against any assignments and would bring a level of grittiness to the team in addition to his defensive capabilities.
