Although unlikely, the Chicago Bulls will be holding their breath on draft night, in hopes of landing a top-four pick in this year’s NBA Draft in order to apply its protection. Regardless, the front office will be keeping a close eye on the 2021 NBA Draft Class and the Draft itself. Because of the Nikola Vucevic trade, the Bulls will likely forfeit their first-round pick this year, which is currently the eighth spot in the lottery. But here’s how it plays out for them in this 2021 NBA Mock Draft.

The franchise’s only selection in the 2021 NBA Draft, as of now, will be the 38th overall pick, courtesy of the New Orleans Pelicans. This pick swap can be traced back to the Nikola Mirotic trade back in 2018, as the Pelicans will be selecting with the Bulls’ second-round pick. Monitoring first-round talent with an early second-round pick is imperative because, as we have seen every year, first-round talents slip all the time.

Third edition of the 2021 NBA Mock Draft provides more clarity as we approach draft lottery night next week

This third mock draft of the year will take readers through picks one through 38, providing statistics and a brief analysis of the fit and scouting report. The draft order is based on the lottery odds going into the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery, which takes place next week. In addition, all selections are assumed to be retained by the clubs that currently hold them.

It all rounds out with the Bulls picking at 38 unless they catch a nice stroke of luck and get back into the lottery in the top four. Here’s a look into the third edition of the 2021 NBA Mock Draft one week ahead of the lottery.
