Scouting Report. 5. Pick Analysis. Forward/Center. Washington. Isaiah Stewart. player. 125

The Atlanta Hawks need to continue building their young core that sits among the best in the NBA. In this 2020 NBA Mock Draft, I have the Hawks filling the frontcourt need by landing a top big man in this class. Former five-star recruit and Washington Huskies signee Isaiah Stewart.

Stewart ranked as the No. 3 2019 recruit in the nation. The only big that ranked higher than him in the national recruiting rankings was Wiseman. Considering Wiseman goes in the top spot in this draft to the Knicks, landing by far the second best big man in this class is an absolute steal for a growing playoff contender in the East like the Hawks.

Imagine what the Hawks could be with the former Wake Forest Demon Deacons star forward John Collins playing alongside Stewart in this starting frontcourt. The Hawks would also be able to run a dream small ball lineup led by rising star point guard and former Oklahoma Sooners five-star recruit Trae Young.

Inside of the three-point line, Stewart could be the most advantageous big man to have on your team in this draft class. He’s very mobile and can drive the lane if need be. Stewart is also a great rim protector for standing at 6-foot-9 and can get to the free-throw line. He needs work on his jumper, but everything else is a positive for Stewart.
