Subject: Taj Gibson
Optimist:
- Taj Gibson’s drop last season was due to the fact that he played through torn ligaments in his ankle. He had offseason surgery to properly heal the ligaments and has also been working out with UFC fighters.
- He is the Bulls most physical player and when healthy can put up a steady dose of double-doubles.
- The Bulls need Taj’s defense and energy down low in order to compete for a championship.
Pessimist:
- Gibson is a good player but the Bulls are log-jammed in the front-court.
- Gasol, Noah, and Mirotic will take up a lot of playing time not to mention the Bulls also drafted rookie big man, Bobby Portis.
- Trading Gibson for an athletic wing makes the most sense.
