The Chicago Bulls enter a pivotal offseason that will decide the immediate and long-term future of the team.

They could try to tear the roster down, allow DeMar DeRozan to walk, trade Zach LaVine and start a rebuild around what is left. The Bulls could also choose to run it back, hopeLonzo Ball can get and stay healthy and show that the short run they had with him wasn’t a fluke.

Either way, they’ll be hoping for luck in the 2024 NBA Draft, where they do have a small chance of landing the number one pick.

But it’s far more likely they stick at pick 11, which is what happens in this Mock Draft. We used the draft simulator to decide the order and the San Antonio Spurs got lucky again.

2024 NBA Mock Draft

#1: San Antonio Spurs select Alex Sarr

The Spurs would be tempted to reach for a point guard here since that is their biggest need, but in the end, pairing Victor Wembanyama with another elite defender is too big a temptation to pass up.

You could say that doubling down on their strongest position is foolish, but the Spurs can build around their defense as the Minnesota Timberwolves have done, starting with two elite rim protectors.

Just the threat of these two would deter anyone from going in the paint and both are versatile enough to move around on the court. The Spurs have their second incarnation of the Twin Towers from the Duncan/Robinson days with this pick.
