#2: Chicago Bulls trade Nikola Vucevic and the 11th pick to the Washington Wizards for Kyle Kuzma

The Wizards are reportedly looking to add another draft pick in the first round, and this would be one way to do it, though I’m doubtful they’d be open to it.

From their perspective, they get a much-needed upgrade at center and Vucevic has one less year on his deal than Kuzma. The Wizards get another lottery pick to try and find a gem to kickstart their youth movement. The Bulls may have to throw in more here, as Kuzma may have more years, but it’s a team-friendly deal that gets cheaper each year, culminating at a discount $19 million in the 2026-27 season.

The Bulls get a guy who can help them win now, add depth to the forward position and get the last of Kuzma’s prime years at a discount. He’s a fit even if they bring back Patrick Williams and would allow the Bulls to make the most of DeMar DeRozan’s short window.
