Though they might not agree on the details, most fans of the Chicago Bulls would like to see the team make impactful change this summer.

The Bulls have been frustratingly idle, with no significant trades in three seasons, but Arturas Karnisovas vowed that change is coming. We shall see.

The Bulls could get aggressive in the 2024 NBA Draft, and this may be the right one to do it in, as teams will be looking to make trades in a year when there isn’t a consensus at the top.

Here are some possibilities for the Chicago Bulls with teams in the top five.

Possible Chicago Bulls draft trades

#4: Chicago Bulls trade Zach LaVine and 11th pick to the Detroit Pistons for Isaiah Stewart and 5th pick

The Pistons would love to use their pick to add proven talent, as they are desperate to improve after an epic run of futility. This would allow them to get an impact player and still stay in the lottery, even though they'd have to take on LaVine's contract to do it. They'd probably want to leave Stewart out of this and could offer a dead contract (Evan Fournier's expiring if Detroit opts in) instead.

As for the Bulls, they would clear a ton of cap space and move up to the 5th pick, allowing them to take a future piece and get out from LaVine's deal. They can reset on the fly with cap space and still walk away from the draft with a top-5 talent.

The Bulls also get back a useful young big in Isaiah Stewart, who is locked into a reasonable deal. The Bulls stockpile some much-needed young talent and get a return for LaVine that might be the best they can get. Even if they had to take back Fournier's corpse at $19 million, it might be worth it for the pick and cap space.
