Depending on what the Chicago Bulls do with their own free agents (DeMar DeRozan, Patrick Williams, Andre Drummond) and Zach LaVine, they could either have a lot of cap space to spend this summer, a little, or none at all.

It makes speculating about free agency difficult, as the Bulls may be looking to make a bigger splash or could just be shopping for role players to fill roster spots around the team they already have.

They will likely have the mid-level exception, around $12.9 million according to Spotrac, so even if they bring back DeRozan and LaVine, Chicago should have some money to spend in free agency.

They could take a chance on a cheaper player, go for a role player or try to lure a better free agent who wants to chase the playoffs with a veteran team.

Here are 10 players who make sense for the Chicago Bulls, some more attainable than others.

Saddiq Bey (restricted free agent)

One bargain option could be Saddiq Bey, who had a decent season for the Hawks, averaging just under 14 points and grabbing 6.5 rebounds per game. He’s not the sharpshooter people thought he’d be by now, but he can knock down the 3-ball and has the size to play either forward position, though he’s more effective defensively against fours.

He’ll be a restricted free agent if the Hawks make the qualifying offer, which they likely will, so the Bulls would have to offer more than Atlanta is willing to match. No one wants to get in a bidding war for Bey, so if the Hawks want him, he’ll likely stay.

But if they decide to cut ties, Bey is a player the Bulls could likely land for less than the full mid-level.
