Based on The Ringer’s latest mock draft, Alabama’s Labaron Philon Jr. could fall into the Chicago Bulls’ lap at pick No. 15 in the 2026 NBA Draft. They have him falling to pick No. 16, meaning he would be available when the Bulls pick. For most of the draft cycle, Philon has been projected to land in the 10-14 range, but now, he could be in the Bulls’ sights.

There’s still a chance that a team scoops Philon up before the Bulls pick. In fact, it’s more than likely that he will be gone. But if he’s on the board, the Bulls should seriously consider selecting him. His mix of shot creation, three-point shooting, and defensive potential makes him an ideal choice.

Philon may be falling right into Bryson Graham’s hands.

According to Danny Chau of The Ringer, who projected Philon to drop to the Memphis Grizzlies at pick No. 16, there’s an argument to be made that he is a top-10 talent in the draft:

“Philon is arguably a top-10 talent, but if he slips by some of the more guard-needy landing spots, he could slide right into the Grizzlies’ lap at 16. There is still no clarity on the Ja Morant situation, but if they do plan to move on, Philon would be an ideal two-man-game partner for Boozer.”

Kevin O’Connor of Yahoo Sports also has Philon falling to that same spot. But for the past few weeks, Philon was projected to go much earlier, which would have put him out of Chicago’s range.

But now that he could be within the Bulls’ sights, he should definitely be one of the guys they are paying close attention to as the 2026 NBA Draft inches closer and closer.

At Alabama this past year, Philon put up great numbers. Numbers that look like the exact type of thing Chicago should be seeking out in this year’s draft as it plans for the future.

Philon appeared in 33 games (32 starts, 30.9 minutes per contest). He averaged 22.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting 50.1% from the floor and 39.9% from deep range on 6.2 three-point attempts per contest.

His blend of three-point talent, downhill ability, and overall feel for the game would make him an ideal guard target for the Bulls in this year’s draft. His shooting, in particular, would make him an ideal fit in the backcourt alongside Josh Giddey.

The Bulls need more offensive creation on this team, and now that Philon is slipping down draft boards, he could potentially be there for them. And he would definitely help with that creation.
