As the Jaylen Brown trade saga rolls on, the Chicago Bulls should use it as a chance to jump into a deal as a potential fourth team. The rumors have indicated that the Boston Celtics could trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, with Brown going to a third team. But what if that third team gives the Milwaukee Bucks assets that they don’t want? Well, that’s where the Bulls could jump in.

Obviously, it would depend on who the Bucks get back in a deal, but if there are veterans or slightly bad contracts they get back, Chicago should get involved. If they can add mid-tier talent for little to no cost, it would be worthwhile for the Bulls to try to revamp those assets.

Take on the money, take on the players, and go from there.

Bulls should get involved in a Jaylen Brown trade

A lot would have to go right for the Bulls to be able to get involved in a deal. First and foremost, they would have to wait for the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade to happen. And in this scenario, they would have to hope he gets moved to Boston.

There’s a world where the Bulls could get involved in a four-team deal with Antetokounmpo going to the Heat, but in that case, it feels like the Bucks would get far less back in return for Tyler Herro than Brown.

So, for the Bulls’ sake, they should be hoping for a Celtics trade, as there may be more tradable assets going back to Milwaukee. Brown makes more money and would require more salary matching.

Three of the teams that are reportedly interested in adding Brown are the Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Atlanta Hawks. All three have contracts the Bulls could take on.

In the case of the Rockets, perhaps someone like Fred VanVleet or Steven Adams could be included in the deal. If the Bucks don’t want those guys, Chicago could take them and flip them.

The same goes for Jerami Grant, should he be sent to Milwaukee in a three-team deal that ends with Brown in Portland.

Then, there are the Hawks. Do the Bucks want Dyson Daniels? Would he get flipped? What about someone like Corey Kispert or Zaccharie Risacher? Could the Bulls get their hands on one of those guys?

The point is, the Bucks could end up getting back some players they don’t want, and given the right situation, the Bulls could get involved.
