The Chicago Bulls kick off their 2026 Las Vegas Summer League series of games on July 10 against the Memphis Grizzlies. With the young talent taking the court, here are five things to watch throughout the Bulls' summer league games. The last of which is very important for fans.

Caleb Wilson’s 3-point shooting

In his lone collegiate season, Wilson shot 25.9% from three (7-27).

It will be interesting to see how Wilson does from beyond the arc in summer league. Will he take a high volume of 3-pointers? Will he knock them down at a higher rate than in college?

If Wilson can become a higher-volume 3-point shooter who knocks them down consistently, it will help make his transition to the league easier. Shooting well from beyond the arc will add another layer to his game, making it harder for defenses to stop him.

Dailyn Swain's consistency

Swain shot 54.2% from the field in his 2025-26 collegiate season and is talented at driving to the rim.

If Swain continues to shoot this well and get to the basket, it bodes well for his consistency.

If he can be efficient while remaining effective at getting to the rim, it will be huge for the Bulls' offense.

Doing this in Las Vegas Summer League shows that he can be reliable in both aspects.

Jaylin Sellers and Tobe Awaka production

Sellers and Awaka were undrafted free agents, being picked up by the Bulls on two-way contracts. Las Vegas Summer League should be an opportunity to learn what these two can bring.

If Sellers and Awaka receive opportunities and thrive, they may make the case for getting minutes in the regular season.

Noa Essengue post-injury

Essengue only played in two games in 2025-26. He suffered a season-ending shoulder injury.

It will be interesting to see how Essengue looks on the court following the recovery.

Summer league will also allow fans the opportunity to learn more about his play style and what he can bring to the 2026-27 roster.

Finally, watch your expectations

While it will be great to see the young Bulls thrive, especially in these aspects, remember this: It is summer league.

The real test will come when these players see minutes in the regular season.

So, celebrate when players succeed. After all, it is a good sign. However, if some players don’t meet expectations, remember that things can change for the regular season. What you see in Las Vegas Summer League may not be what you see in the regular season.
