It seems like the Bulls rumors just keep coming in as we’re less than one week away from the trade deadline now. Chicago is likely looking to take an aggressive approach at the trade deadline this year to continue elevating their contender status in the Eastern Conference. And there are a number of ways in which the front office can try to accomplish that task.
Most of the conversation concerning how the Bulls can elevate their contender status surrounds potential trade targets like the Detroit Pistons star forward Jerami Grant and Sacramento Kings standout veteran forward Harrison Barnes. But there are some other potential trade targets for the Bulls to look into as the deadline approaches next week.
Latest Bulls rumors pitch the idea of trading for Jakob Poeltl at the deadline
Two of the newer potential trade targets that are coming to the forefront for the Bulls ahead of the Feb. 10 deadline are the Boston Celtics point guard Dennis Schroder, Brooklyn Nets veteran power forward Paul Millsap, and San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl. But we have discussed the idea of the Bulls going after Schroder at the trade deadline already this week. And Millsap would be a low-cost option for the Bulls at the deadline either way.
I believe Poeltl is actually a more intriguing potential trade target for the Bulls than Schroder. Poeltl could help the Bulls in a number of ways to upgrade their frontcourt unit with more of a traditional center.
Here’s a look into three trades that the Bulls could pull off with the Spurs at the deadline to land Poeltl.
