The run of late for second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls was anything but inspiring. After the Bulls looked like one of the best teams in the NBA in late December and early January in the midst of a nine-game winning streak, this squad really came back down to earth in the last five or six days.

Donovan and the Bulls have lost two in a row and three of their last four games. That dates back to a convincing 113-99 loss on the road at the American Airlines Center back on Jan. 9 at the hands of superstar point guard Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. The loss to the Mavericks was what originally severed the Bulls’ winning streak.

But things went from bad to worse when the Bulls had a massive second-half collapse against the Brooklyn Nets at home on Jan. 12. That was one of the worst looking games of the regular season so far for the Bulls in what amounted to a 138-112 loss at the friendly confines of the United Center.

And in a Jan. 14 loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Bulls looked just as poor as they did in the second half against the Nets.

Now, the Bulls need to bounce back as they get set to take on the Boston Celtics on the road on Jan. 15. And this team will have to do so without star shooting guard Zach LaVine and point guard Lonzo Ball.

All in all, the spot that the Bulls are in right now isn’t inspiring much confidence about what’s ahead in the second half of the season. With that in mind, here’s a look into three trades the Bulls could pull off right now to get the immediate help they need.
