If not for a few game postponements for the Chicago Bulls last month in the midst of the league-wide COVID-19-related issues, this team would be close to halfway through the regular season slate. The Bulls are now through the first 35 games of the regular season after their Jan. 3 four-point win over the Orlando Magic at home at the United Center.
Second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls are currently sporting a record of 25-10 following the win over the Magic earlier this week. And the Bulls are currently sitting on a season-best eight-game winning streak.
That impressive record for the Bulls through the first 35 games of the regular season is good for the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings ahead of the likes of the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. And it looks like there’s a pretty manageable portion of the schedule upcoming for the Bulls.
A duo of Chicago Bulls players really stick out this season as to the most underrated on the team in the first half
Next up for the Bulls is a meeting with the Washington Wizards at home on Jan. 7. Depending on how the Bulls are able to handle home matchups net week against the Nets and Golden State Warriors, the January schedule could be very good for this team. Granted, beating the Nets and Warriors in the same week obviously will never be an easy feat.
Nonetheless, as we approach the halfway mark of the regular season, it is worth taking a look back to see which Bulls players are exceeding expectations. Especially among those players that aren’t getting the team or league-wide respect they deserve, which Bulls players are drastically underrated through the first half of the regular season so far?
