Through 29 games this season, we have a pretty good feeling about how second-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls stack up with the rest of the Eastern Conference. Donovan and the Bulls are now sporting a record of 19-10 following a win in the back end of back-to-back games at home at the United Center on Dec. 20 over the Houston Rockets.
At this point of the season, the Bulls only sit behind the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference standings with 19 wins. But this comes as the Bulls faced a huge number of postponements within the last 10 days or so. The Bulls had three games postponed within the last 10 days, which all started with their originally scheduled Dec. 14 home meeting with the Detroit Pistons.
The Bulls also had two games, originally scheduled for Dec. 16 and 22, set against the Toronto Raptors that were postponed due to COVID-19-related issues.
Who are the most disappointing Chicago Bulls players so far among the new signees?
Yet, this is still a time where the Bulls can reflect on the portion of the regular season slate that is now in the rearview mirror. The Bulls rebuilt the roster from the ground-up since the new front office regime came in last year. A plethora of new signings and acquisitions since the trade deadline last season have paid dividends immediately during the 2021-22 campaign.
But not all of the new signings for the Bulls have worked out as anticipated this season. Some still have left something to be desired through the first 29 games of the regular season.
Here’s a look into three of the most disappointing new signings for the Bulls through 29 games.
