A ton of roster movement for the Chicago Bulls this offseason led to a team that should be a lot better for head coach Billy Donovan heading into his second year at the helm. Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley were very busy since the trade deadline last season, trying to retool this team in the image they see fit moving forward.
Key new additions for the Bulls since the trade deadline last season include star center Nikola Vucevic, star shooting guard/forward DeMar DeRozan, point guard Lonzo Ball, guard Alex Caruso, small forward Derrick Jones Jr., and power forward Alize Johnson, among many others. And those are just some of the names that Karnisovas and the Bulls brought in on guaranteed deals.

There could be other complimentary pieces to the rotation for Donovan and the Bulls next season such as center Daniel Oturu, forward Tyler Cook, rookie point guard Ayo Dosunmu, sharpshooting two-guard/wing Matt Thomas, etc. Training Camp and the preseason will be a decisive time for a lot of these more under-the-radar Bulls players to make their case to make the 15-man roster.
But with all of this change for the Bulls since around February or March brought some key departures too. The Bulls did part ways with some players that are going to find a lot of success elsewhere. That is just oftentimes a side effect of this process.
Thus, there are going to be former Bulls players that the fans look back on in hindsight and potentially wish the team kept around. Nonetheless, here’s a look into three former Bulls players bound to find success elsewhere next season.
