Best wing shooters remaining for the Chicago Bulls: Troy Daniels

Two ways that a player like the former Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets shooting guard/wing Troy Daniels could help the Bulls are by adding a true veteran presence to the locker room and helping the floor spacing in that part of the rotation. Jones could be considered a veteran, but he doesn’t have the plethora of regular season and postseason experience that the seven-year vet Daniels brings to the table.

Daniels has played for a whopping seven different teams over the course of seven regular season. And his postseason experience spans to four years with four different teams.

There were a few teams last season that considered adding Daniels, but no one wound up bringing him in. And he wound up signing to play overseas in Italy a few months ago. The Bulls could still bring him back to the NBA ranks if Karnisovas and Eversley found him as a good fit with the current rotation at hand.

Daniels would certainly be one of the more proven and capable floor spacers that the Bulls have on the roster if he joined the mix. He is a career 39.5 percent shooter from beyond the arc and 79.9 percent from the free-throw line. Daniels ranks among the 20 best three-point shooters among active players in the NBA. Granted, he might leave that list soon since he hasn’t played in the NBA since 2019-20 with the Nuggets and Lakers.

Among the true veteran wing shooters available that the Bulls could sign ahead of next season, Daniels looks like my personal favorite option. He’s not a great defender, but he’s one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA since the mid-2010s. Daniels is also an elite three-point shooter from the corners, at a clip of 49.7 percent for his career.
