Best wing shooters remaining for the Chicago Bulls: James Ennis III

Definitely, one of the best overall players remaining in free agency at this point of the offseason is the former Orlando Magic veteran wing/forward James Ennis III. One of two seven-year vets on this list that the Bulls could sign ahead of next season to fill the coveted role of a knockdown wing shooter on the bench, Ennis is a good option.

And Ennis looks to be an option to add depth on the wing and shooting to the rotation for Donovan and his staff this offseason. If the Bulls were to add any wing shooting ahead of the start of the regular season, I would bet my money on Ennis.

Last season with the Magic, Ennis shot a whopping 43.3 percent from beyond the arc. That was the second time in his career where he shot better than 43 percent from beyond the arc. While Ennis can be a streaky wing shooter, he’s pretty much always well above the league average.

Ennis is also a wing that can shoot from really anywhere beyond the arc. He can stroke it from the corners, but Ennis also shot better than 40 percent from above the break.

The one area where Ennis really thrive in terms of shooting from beyond the arc is as a catch-and-shoot threat. Ennis shot around 47.5 percent from downtown last season on catch-and-shoot attempts. The Bulls don’t really have anyone else on this current roster that can be a catch-and-shoot threat from multiple spots beyond the arc like Ennis.
