Bucks free agents the Chicago Bulls could target: Bryn Forbes
What should be the most appealing of all of the impending Bucks free agents this summer for Karnisovas and the Bulls is the former San Antonio Spurs versatile guard Bryn Forbes. As a potential free agent guard that really has his stock trending up at the moment, Forbes is surely a target to watch.
If Forbes does wind up opting out of the final year of his current contract, then he would become one of the more highly sought-after sharpshooting guards in free agency this offseason. He ranked in the top five in the NBA during the regular season in three-point shooting percentage, just north of 45.
Forbes also ranks among the 25 best active players in the league in career three-point shooting percentage, just north of 41.
If the Bulls are looking to add some help with a two-way guard that can stroke it well from deep and help defend on the perimeter, then Forbes should be their guy. And with Forbes ending this season on a high note, he looks rather likely to opt-out of the final year of his current contract, since it would pay him less than $3 million next season.
Forbes could easily fit into the Bulls’ current cap sheet, and he could fill a need for this bench unit. He could become one of the most proficient players that the Bulls have on the bench, and he could be a legit backup two-guard behind star shooting guard Zach LaVine. The fit with the Bulls could be great, and Forbes should be a real consideration if he opts out of his contract.
