Bucks free agents the Chicago Bulls could target: Jeff Teague

One of the more forgotten guards in the Bucks’ rotation during this championship run this season was the veteran floor general and 33-year-old Jeff Teague. After looking like one of the most promising young point guards throughout the early 2010s, Teague has spent the latter portion of his career as a journeyman.

In the past two seasons alone, Teague has played for a whopping four different teams. It just so happened that he finished up this season with the team that won the NBA Championship in Milwaukee. He also played for the Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Boston Celtics, at various points of the last two seasons.

Teague’s production also took a pretty big dip since he landed back with the Hawks for a second time last season. He has yet to average more than eight points per game with any one team in the past two seasons since he landed with the Hawks.

But Teague still proved serviceable in limited minutes with the Bucks in the season that was. He shot the ball at a clip of better than 45 percent from beyond the arc during the playoffs with the Bucks, had .110 win shares per 48 minutes with them during the regular season, and registered a 59.8 true shooting percentage during the regular season.

Teague could come to the Bulls on a minimum deal and fill a second or third unit guard role if the team decides to part ways with multiple guards this summer.
