The next major event in the timeline of the 2021 offseason for the Chicago Bulls will be the start of the 2021 NBA Draft. While the Bulls don’t have a first-round draft pick this year, they could still make some moves on draft night that affect the direction of the franchise heading into next season.

Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley don’t have as many resources to work with on draft night this offseason than they did last. Karnisovas and Eversley looked like they might make a move on draft night last year to try and speed up the rebuild.

Instead, the Bulls picked up the former Florida State Seminoles freshman forward Patrick Williams with the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. Karnisovas and the Bulls also picked the KK Mega Bemax big man Marko Simonovic with the 44th overall pick in the second round of the draft.

Outlook for the Chicago Bulls addressing the point guard position in the draft

Those two picks looked to be successful for the Bulls looking back on them. Hopefully, Karnisovas and Eversley can find similar value in the second round of the 2021 draft. But there’s still the possibility that the Bulls try and trade up to fill any positional needs this summer.

It is unfortunate that the Bulls didn’t get their first-round pick back from the Orlando Magic in the draft lottery this year. This is a loaded draft class at the point guard position, which is one spot that the Bulls have a need to fill.

If the Bulls do want to try and fill their point guard need in this draft, here’s a look into three potential targets that could be worth trading up for.
