NBA Mock Draft 1.0:
31. Milwaukee Bucks: Nah’Shon Hyland, G | VCU
32. New York Knicks: Miles McBride, PG/SG | West Virginia
33. Orlando Magic: Greg Brown III, F | Texas
34. New Orleans Pelicans: Charles Bassey, C | Western Kentucky
35. Oklahoma City Thunder: Ariel Hukporti, C | Nevezis (Lithuania)
36. Oklahoma City Thunder: Filip Petrusev, PF/C | KK Mega Soccerbet (Serbia)
37. Detroit Pistons: Aaron Henry, SF/SG | Michigan St.
The Chicago Bulls raise some eyebrows with the 38th overall selection in this NBA Mock Draft by taking Florida State forward RaiQuan Gray. He played alongside last year’s fourth overall selection Patrick Williams and now they wind up on the same NBA team in Chicago.
This is not just a pick to have familiarity for the rookie on the team, though. While that is a great benefit of selecting Gray it is far from something that made the decision.
Gray to the Chicago Bulls is all about valuing his unique skill set and understanding how to maximize both his game and the game of his soon-to-be teammates.
Gray can handle the ball and distribute it offensively despite being 250+ LBs. He is also a strong and versatile defender that can guard any position and will be able to for a long time if he is in the best shape he can be when the season comes around.
One thing he will certainly need to improve is his shooting, although he is capable of doing so much it might not hold him back as much as it holds others back. A Gray would be exciting for P-Will, the coaching staff, Gray himself and the entire Chicago Bulls fanbase.
39. Sacramento Kings: Josh Christopher, SG | Arizona State
40. New Orleans Pelicans: Brandon Boston Jr., SF | Kentucky
That concludes this version of the NBA Mock Draft as a number of teams owning picks over the last 20 selections will have to move at least some of those picks.
