The day has arrived that the Chicago Bulls fan base is hoping will bring some more luck for this franchise in the draft lottery. On the night of June 22, the Bulls will be vying to get their first-round draft pick back from the Orlando Magic, which they traded away at the deadline back on March 25.

What gave the Magic this pick from the Bulls was the trade that landed star center Nikola Vucevic in Chicago. That deal saw the Bulls ship off third-year center Wendell Carter Jr., veteran small forward Otto Porter Jr., and two first-round draft picks in exchange for Vooch and veteran forward Al-Farouq Aminu from the Magic.

The Bulls now have roughly a 20 percent chance to get their lottery pick back for the 2021 draft, and a 4.5 percent chance to get the first overall pick. If they don’t get back in the top four in the draft lottery on this night, then the Bulls’ first-round pick will stay with the Magic.

How much luck can the Chicago Bulls catch in the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery?

This will either be a very busy draft lottery for the Magic or a fortunate one for the Bulls. Last fall, the Bulls landed in the top four of the draft lottery, jumping up three spots in the odds order. Hopefully, there will be similar luck that comes through for the Bulls on June 22, with general manager Marc Eversley representing the team at the draft lottery.

If the Bulls do manage to catch some good luck and get in the top four of this draft lottery, where should they look? Here are a few draft prospects with All-Star potential that Arturas Karnisovas could look into if the Bulls do get in the top four.
