Underrated prospects to watch for the Chicago Bulls at the combine: Isaiah Todd
Depending on what happens for the Bulls in this cycle of free agency, the frontcourt rotation could look a lot different. The Bulls don’t have much clarity as to what the frontcourt will look like on the bench heading into next season given that center Daniel Theis and power forward Lauri Markkanen are both impending free agents.
It’s very likely that the Bulls will see at least one of Theis and Markkanen playing for a different team next season. The Bulls already weren’t that deep in the frontcourt unit in terms of numbers on the bench down the stretch this season. They dealt out a lot of that young depth they had beforehand at the trade deadline.
That is why the Bulls could have such an emphasis placed on adding frontcourt depth in this draft class. The hope is that the Bulls can get some tremendous value in the second round in this spot if they look there. The former G-League Ignite forward Isaiah Todd could be one valued pick that the Bulls could have in the second round, 38th overall.
The 6-foot-10 and 200-pound big man was solid in the G-League last season, but he would still be a pretty raw prospect. He could be a good all-around big man at the next level, he just needs some patience and development. His length, athleticism, well-rounded offensive game at a younger age, and potential on the defensive end of the floor should make him someone to watch for the Bulls in the combine.
