Underrated prospects to watch for the Chicago Bulls at the combine: Neemias Queta

Another big man that the Bulls could find some value in this draft class, the former Utah State Aggies 7-foot and 245-pound center Neemias Queta has a lot to prove throughout this draft scouting process. And there might not be a single bigger opportunity for Queta to prove what he can do in a brighter spotlight than in the combine.

Queta is more of a traditional big man, that never really spent time trying to extend his range during his three years playing for Utah State in the Mountain West Conference. He is a solid rebounder, rim protector, and has the size and strength to contend with most bigs down low. He also remained remarkably healthy and durable during his time at Utah State.

All of those would be positive factors contributing to why the Bulls should take a real look into drafting him this year. The rate at which Queta was able to protect the rim was pretty incredible, averaging well over three blocks per game last season. He was one of a single-digit number of players in college hoops last season to average more than 10 rebounds per game, three blocks, and one steal.

Showing off some of these physical tools against some of the more proficient big men in this class could prove how much promise Queta will have at the next level. He will also get the chance to show off any versatility in his game on both ends of the floor.

Knowing that there is likely a ceiling to the role and potential that Queta has at the next level is what is probably going to limit him to a second-round pick in the 2021 draft.
