Just a few days away from the start of one of the most significant events of the offseason for the Chicago Bulls front office and scouting department, there’s a number of storylines to follow ahead of the 2021 NBA Draft Combine. The Bulls are hoping to get their first-round draft pick back for this year, but they need another nice stroke of luck in the lottery next week.

The first day of the 2021 NBA Draft Combine is June 21. And it is a process that will last through June 27. There were roughly 70 draft prospects that make up the list of combine participants. You can view the complete list of combine participants this year, thanks to NBA.com here.

Since the Bulls don’t hold their first-round draft pick in most lottery scenarios, the focus at the combine should either be on solely scouting out a second-round draft pick or finding someone worthy of trading back up into the first round. The Bulls should obviously be prepared for the possibility that they get the first-round draft pick back

Who the Chicago Bulls can scout out in the 2021 NBA Draft Combine in the next week?

The second-round draft pick the Bulls hold this year is 38th overall. That is the same slot that the Bulls held in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft. With that pick, the Bulls selected the former Arkansas Razorbacks center Daniel Gafford. If the Bulls could get a similar level of value out of this second-round draft pick, that would have to be considered a success.

But the Bulls do still have roughly a 20 percent chance to get their first-round draft pick back from the Orlando Magic, which will be decided in the lottery next week. For the time being, here’s a look into five underrated prospects to watch in the 2021 NBA Combine.
