Players that Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan praised: LeBron James

It would be really odd if the Bulls’ legend Jordan didn’t have much to say about all of the comparisons between himself and the Los Angeles Lakers superstar point forward LeBron James. The fact that when it’s all said and done for LeBron’s playing days in the NBA he could be the second-best to ever do it behind Jordan means a lot.

And there’s a lot of NBA fans, especially from this new generation of basketball loyalists, that do believe that LeBron is the greatest player of all time. That’s hard to digest for a lot of Bulls fans, but that GOAT debate is always something that will rage on as long as there are both individual LeBron and Jordan loyalists.

In an interview in Paris in early 2020, Jordan responded to the media and fan comparisons between him and LeBron, shooting down any thoughts he could give on saying who’s better than the other. Jordan stated that he “respects the game” of LeBron and that he essentially really enjoys watching the Lakers 36-year-old superstar.

The accolades are there in bunches for both Jordan and LeBron. But the early playoff exit for LeBron, superstar big man Anthony Davis, and the Lakers does bring about question marks about the direction of his career the rest of the way. The faith should still be there in how LeBron will respond, granted his playing days in the NBA are likely winding down before too long.
