Trades for Tomas Satoransky if the Chicago Bulls sign Lonzo Ball

The next trade deal up on this list involving Sato leaving the Bulls actually has a nice ring to it for all parties involved. It could also wind up being a pretty realistic trade deal, at least in terms of the actual pieces that will be on the move this summer. In this player swap, the Bulls give up the contracts of Sato, point guard Ryan Arcidiacono, and veteran forward Al-Farouq Aminu.

In exchange, the Bulls get veteran volume scoring guard Eric Gordon, emerging former USC Trojans shooting guard/wing Kevin Porter Jr., and defensive standout point guard Avery Bradley from the Houston Rockets. In this scenario, the Bulls would be getting some immediate help in spots they need in the backcourt rotation with proven veteran experience in Gordon and a defensive stopper on the perimeter in Bradley.

Gordon is really the last big piece of the Rockets’ former core that included the likes of James Harden, PJ Tucker, Clint Capela, etc. that is still on the books in Space City. And it really feels like it’s only a matter of time before the Rockets ship him off, just like they did those other three former players.

At this point, Gordon still has three years remaining on his current contract. And he’s due an average of just north of $18 million annually for the rest of the life of his current contract. That is a lot for the Bulls to take on in this scenario, but they do get off the contracts of Arch and Aminu. It would serve immediate value, but could cost them over the long haul.
