It is about time for the Chicago Bulls‘ new front office regime to start looking at what options they have to continue to build up the roster come next offseason, especially via the free agent market. First-year executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley already made a number of moves since the trade deadline last month to try and make this roster go into win-now mode.

The large number of moves that the Bulls new front office made at the deadline back on March 25 included landing star big man Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic, center Daniel Theis from the Boston Celtics, and shooting guard/small forward Troy Brown Jr. from the Washington Wizards, among others. Deadline day was very busy in the Bulls camp.

The results have yet to come through for first-year head coach Billy Donovan and the Bulls following their big deadline day, though. While they have won three of their last four games, Donovan and the Bulls hold a record of just 6-10 since deadline day passed.

The path forward for the Bulls is likely to revolve around Vooch and star shooting guard Zach LaVine. The two-time All-Star selection Vucevic and first-time All-Star LaVine have not had the opportunity to play together all that much since that big deadline day deal that landed the star center and forward Al-Farouq Aminu from the Magic.

LaVine has recently missed some time due to a violation of the league’s health and safety protocol. But he should be back in due time to help the Bulls make a push either to the playoffs or to earning a spot in the play-in tournament next month.

With all of that in mind, here’s a look into four star players that the Bulls could potentially pair with LaVine and Vooch out of free agency next offseason.
