Sharpshooter free agents for the Chicago Bulls to pursue: Kyle Korver

One particular potential free agent target for Karnisovas and the Bulls that I was a fan of for a long time now is the longtime NBA sharpshooter and 40-year-old Lakewood, CA, native Kyle Korver. This 6-foot-7 and 215 pound shooting guard/small forward could bring a lot of value to the table right away for the Bulls.

The one-time All-Star selection would fill a void for the Bulls that could be the perfect fit to help Donovan. The Bulls don’t really have a plethora of depth on the wing at the moment, as Donovan tends to use a mix of true forwards and two-guards that can also play at the three. That rings true for the likes of rookie forward Patrick Williams, veteran shooting guard Garrett Temple, star shooting guard, and shooting guard/wing Denzel Valentine, among others.

Korver would bring that sharpshooting nature to the wing spot for the Bulls that would be really valuable for them to really upon off the bench. And while Korver would by no means be a long-term addition for this Bulls team, he would certainly make an immediate impact before potentially announcing his retirement in the near future.

A player that’s led the NBA in three-point shooting in four different seasons, and is one of the truly all-time great shooters from beyond the arc, offers clear value for the Bulls that they need. The Bulls have more veterans on the roster this season than they did in each of the past two. But clearly more direction is needed for them down the stretch.
