Chicago Bulls player prediction: Coby White steps up as third scoring threat

This one is ambitious but is a product of having some faith in this Bulls team more than anything else. It also helps that Coby White plays like a big-time scoring threat, sometimes to the team’s detriment.

Post All-Star break he is the team’s fifth-highest scorer on a per-game basis, averaging 10.9 per game. One of those players above him is Markkanen, who I already have staying under 10 per game in the final 20 games.

The other is Thaddeus Young, who truthfully needs to do a little bit too much of everything n the court for this team to envision the Bulls winning games if he is asked to be the group’s third scoring threat.

The upcoming games could dictate White’s career as a Chicago Bull and I project him to at least pick his game up in terms of scoring. A big part of that would be increasing his 3-point efficiency. He is knowing down just 31.6  percent from deep in his last 15 games.

Chicago Bulls player prediction: Al-Farouq Aminu plays in at least 10 games

The defensive-minded wing is going to wiggle into the Bulls rotation at some point down the stretch and I envision is being sooner rather than later. The Bulls are blowing game after game defensively it feels like and they could use a player like Aminu that will play good on-ball defense on that end.

Between Aminu, Young and Williams the Bulls would be throwing some good, versatile defenders at opposing teams. It would also help make up for their lack of a true rim protector.

Aminu has appeared in just one game for the Bulls since coming over with Vucevic but that can’t last unless the Bulls are fine with falling out of the playoff race due to defensive ineptitude. I can’t imagine Donovan will take that and I would bet this change happens within the next five or so games.
