Chicago Bulls: 3 NBA stars that Nikola Vucevic has dominated
Trae Young, PG
As former division foes, the former Oklahoma Sooners star point guard and elite five-star recruit Trae Young and Vooch met up plenty of times in the days when he was with the Magic. Now, while Ice Trae is still starring for the Atlanta Hawks, Vooch is making his talents known elsewhere. The Hawks and Bulls will still meet two more times this season, though.
That means that the rivalry between Vooch and Young will get to continue in two more decisive matchups. In the first meeting between the Hawks and Bulls this season, Young got the best of Chicago by a convincing 20-point margin.
Maybe the addition of Vooch can turn this around for Donovan and the Bulls.
The 22-year-old Lubbock, TX, native and one-time All-Star selection Young has faced Vooch, when he was a member of the Magic, on eight occasions. But Young held a record of just 2-6 in those eight regular season meetings.
In those games, Vooch averaged 24 points per game, 12 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block. And he shot 53.2 percent from the field, 32.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 87.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Meanwhile, Young averaged 26 points per game, four rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and no blocks, against Vooch and the Magic. And he shot 47.6 percent from the field, 33.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line.
