Ironically enough, one of the Bulls players that got the worst of Vooch when he was still with the Magic was the first-time All-Star selection LaVine. The former UCLA Bruin and 26-year-old Washington native didn’t find too much success against Vooch as a member of the Bulls or the Minnesota Timberwolves at the outset of his NBA career.

LaVine was the opposition of Vooch in 12 regular season games, but not once in the playoffs. And in those dozen games between LaVine and Vooch, the Bulls star shooting guard won just four. In those 12 games, LaVine averaged 20 points per game, four rebounds, four assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks. And he shot 47.3 percent from the field, 41.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Meanwhile, Vooch played really well against LaVine in these dozen meetings. He averaged 22 points per game, 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and 1.5 blocks. And Vooch shot 53.5 percent from the field, 40.0 percent from beyond the arc, and 50.0 percent from the free-throw line. Vooch put up some real solid numbers against LaVine.

Hopefully, LaVine and Vooch will be able to magnify their production from the best of their past meetings together. They form a special pick-and-roll combination that can highlight this still young and improving Bulls team. LaVine and Vooch have now combined for three All-Star selection, which hopefully will turn to five next year.
