Chicago Bulls: Players drafted after Wendell Carter Jr.
The Chicago Bulls moved on from their 2018 NBA Draft class at this year’s deadline. They selected twice in the first round of that draft and on one day shipped out both first-round draft picks in separate deals.
With the era of the 2018 Bulls Draft selections over already, it’s an appropriate time to look at who they passed on in the draft for the two players they selected. This measure only holds value when the front office that made past mistakes is no longer employed by the team, which is the case for the Bulls. Let this serve as a reminder of why to remain thankful for Arturas Karnisovas and his staff.
Both of these players have the ability and hopefully opportunity to find success with their new organizations. That is what we are all rooting for. Odds are they didn’t pay off for the Bulls because of the situations they found themselves in thanks to those in charge.

Sometimes it’s best for all parties when a team and high draft pick go their separate ways. That’s the hope here and what I truly think will be the case.
Before we get into lottery selection Wendell Carter Jr. and some of the bigger misses from the draft we must cover their second selection briefly. That was the 22nd overall pick, which the Bulls used to select Chandler Hutchison out of Boise State. Hutchison is now a member of the Washington Wizards thanks to a deadline deal that involved new Bull Troy Brown Jr.
The hope is this deal will be a win-win featuring two wings that needed a change of scenery.
