It really did feel like the fit with the Jazz was a good one for the former Bulls and Tulsa Golden Hurricane 6-foot-4 and 190 pound 27-year-old combo guard Shaquille Harrison last offseason. Harrison signed a deal with his third NBA team last offseason to play for the Jazz. But it didn’t last long for Harrison in Salt Lake City this year before he hit waivers.

The Jazz wound up waiving Harrison back on Feb. 24 after just 17 games played this season (none of which he started in). And in those 17 games that Harrison actually saw action, he only averaged just over three minutes on the floor per night.

Harrison ended last season on a high note with the Bulls. He and then rookie point guard Coby White were hot down the stretch, as two of the team’s most efficient guards when they were floundering as a whole in the standings in the East.

Last season with the Bulls, Harrison averaged around five points per game, two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and 0.5 blocks. And he shot 46.7 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from beyond the arc, and 78.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Given that Harrison is now one of the better one-on-one perimeter defenders and reliable spot-up shooters available on the free agent market at this point of the regular season slate, it shouldn’t be too long before someone else picks up him.
