The Chicago Bulls Selected Promising Wing Patrick Williams Fourth Overall in the 2020 NBA Draft

The Bulls’ selection of Williams was met with mixed reactions. Some were concerned over the forwards late rise up draft boards while others didn’t understand how a player that was a sixth man in college could be the fourth-best prospect in the draft.

Since then, Williams has made believers out of those who have watched him consistently during his rookie campaign. He isn’t producing eye-popping numbers or being featured in the offense, but he still reminds you every game how much potential he has.

One of the most exciting things about him is his understanding and feel for the game, which goes hand in hand with his solid, yet not eye-dropping stats on the season. Everything is coming naturally to the 19-year-old wing because he understands where he is at and what he brings to the table at this point in his career.

That understanding has led to the rookie earning high praise from superstars around the league.

Williams understanding of where his game is at right now gives fans reason to be extremely excited about the future. If any young player is going to develop their game where needed it’s someone with such high awareness at a young age.

All the physical tools are there with Williams as well. It’s only a matter of time before he begins smoothing out his game and becomes a true game-changer in the league. For that reason, the Bulls shouldn’t even bother listening to trades involving him.
