A situation that escalated quickly for the Chicago Bulls star 25-year-old 6-foot-6 shooting guard Zach LaVine entering the weekend hit the news cycle on March 5. LaVine reportedly (per TMZ Sports) had a fan show up at his house and she would not leave upon request. He reportedly had the cops called when the situation escalated.

Apparently this fan was unknown personally to LaVine but “traveled from another state” to demand a conversation with the Bulls star. And that wound up eventually seeing the cops get called when she wouldn’t leave when LaVine asked her to.

Here’s more on what the TMZ Sports report released on the morning of March 5 had to say on the matter.

"Scary situation for Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine — cops were called to his home Thursday night after an allegedly obsessed woman showed up at his door and refused to leave. Our law enforcement sources tell us … 25-year-old LaVine was at his residence when the woman arrived. We’re told Zach did not know the woman — but she had traveled from another state demanding to have a conversation with the young superstar. When asked to leave the property, we’re told the woman refused — so cops were called.Once help arrived, we’re told officers took her to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation — she was not formally arrested and has not been charged with a crime. We reached out to LaVine’s camp — so far, no comment."

This event looks to have transpired just after the Bulls had played in their final game prior to the All-Star Break (which takes place between March 5-10). LaVine and the Bulls downed star forward Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans on the road at the Smoothie King Center back on the night of March 3, which was their final game prior to All-Star Weekend.

Moreover, LaVine going through this right before he’s about to take part in his first career All-Star Game is pretty crazy. It will surely be an eventful week and weekend for LaVine in his first full All-Star Weekend set of festivities.

LaVine is set to take part in both the All-Star Game and the 3-Point Contest. This will be the second straight year that LaVine is participating in the 3-Point Contest. But this is his first career All-Star nod, as he’s having another career year for the Bulls.

Team Durant picked LaVine in the annual All-Star Game Draft that took place between the Brooklyn Nets superstar forward Kevin Durant the Los Angeles Lakers defending champ LeBron James.

Both the All-Star Game and 3-Point Contest are set to take place at the home of the Atlanta Hawks, State Farm Arena, on March 7 in Atlanta, GA. LaVine will be the only representative from the Bulls taking part in the festivities during All-Star Weekend.

LaVine and the Bulls own a record of 16-18 after their win over the Pelicans to round out the first half of the regular season’s schedule. And LaVine himself was the first Bulls All-Star nod in four years.
