The Chicago Bulls held off a furious fourth-quarter comeback from the New Orleans Pelicans in the team’s final game prior to the All-Star break.

It looked like the Bulls were going to cruise to a victory at one point. They went to halftime with a 64-45 lead after a 38 point second quarter. Zach LaVine had 15 points in the first half, followed by Thaddeus Young who had 13 of his own at the break.

The Bulls did a good job containing everyone not named Zion Williamson in the half. While Zion had 16 points on 5-6 shooting in the half, the rest of the Pelicans were well contained. Brandon Ingram shot just 3-10 from the field for six points.

As a team, New Orleans shot just 1-11 from behind the arc. The Pelicans wound up making a furious comeback once the fourth quarter got underway. They scored 45 points in the fourth alone, almost pulling off the once improbable comeback.

Still, the Bulls managed to hang on for the victory. It was their 16th of the season as they enter the break with a 16-18 record. Here are three takeaways from the Chicago Bulls 128-124 victory on Wednesday night.
