In a hypothetical world where the Chicago Bulls could land a true star in a trade, which would be the best Christmas presents for this fan base?

When the 2019-20 regular season ended prematurely for the Chicago Bulls in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic, one of the main goals at hand was to hopefully find a star during the impending offseason. The Bulls didn’t have much cap room to make anything happen in the free agent market. And they didn’t make any big splash trades to make that happen either.

What the Bulls did do was hire former Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas to take over for John Paxson as the lead voice in the front office. Karnisovas’ official title is the executive vice president of basketball operations. And Karnisovas subsequently hired Marc Eversley to replace Gar Forman as the Bulls general manager.

Another significant hire that Karnisovas and Eversley made for the Bulls was replacing Jim Boylen with Billy Donovan as the next head coach. But the start to the regular season slate for Donovan and the Bulls did not go as planned.

The Bulls got dismantled at home at the United Center on Dec. 23 in their regular season tip off against star point guard Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks, in a loss by the final score of 124-104. A poor defensive showing cost the Bulls in their season opener.

A point that the Bulls need a lot of help still in the fourth year of the rebuild could be made if their struggles continue on into the regular season slate. Up next they get the Indiana Pacers at home on Dec. 26. That will be a good test for this Bulls team that will be looking to bounce back.

But first, the Bulls fan base has Christmas to experience and hope for a better turnaround from this. Here’s a look into three stars that Bulls fans wish their team could get for Christmas this season.
