Of all the former Chicago Bulls players that the fan base could want back for Christmas this year, which three would most of them choose?

Christmas morning has arrived, but the Chicago Bulls fan base will not be watching their team in game action on the famed Dec. 25 slate. The NBA on Christmas Day hasn’t featured the Bulls in more than three years now. This rebuild has to get more on track before something like that could actually happen.

Nonetheless, it is still fun for the fan base to look back on the better years for this team and figure out where to go from here. A number of notable former Bulls players are finding success around the NBA landscape of late. It is worth rooting for them on Christmas day, if they are playing in this famed slate of games.

It could also be worth reminiscing about the better days of Bulls basketball, and who the fans wish this team would bring back in the near future. Although they might not actually bring back any of these former Bulls players, they could learn from the mistakes of who the previous front office regime of John Paxson and Gar Forman parted ways with in the past so that it doesn’t happen too often in the future.

Newly hired executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley will be tasked with righting the ship for this Bulls rebuild in its fourth year. But they didn’t get off on the right foot when they tipped off their regular season slate back on Dec. 23 at home at the United Center with a convincing 20-point loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Developing this roster will take time, though, under this new front office regime and first-year head coach Billy Donovan. For the time being, it is nice to look back on the better years and root for prominent former Bulls players finding success on any of the other 29 teams right now.

With Christmas day here, let’s take a look at three former Bulls players that the fans do wish they could get back as gifts for the holiday season.
