Three particular players for the Chicago Bulls do have the most to prove in Training Camp, for various reasons, before the regular season begins on Dec. 23.
Training Camp is well underway for the Chicago Bulls. Individual player workouts began in Training Camp back on Dec. 1, and group workouts got going earlier this week. The Advocate Center has players back in action, and the tip off of the Bulls preseason slate is not too far away. In fact we are less than four days away from tip off of game action once again at the United Center.
The last time that the Bulls played in meaningful game action at the United Center was just before the premature end to the 2019-20 regular season in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic. They knocked off the divisional foe Cleveland Cavaliers back in mid-March at the United Center, which helped them finish up the 2019-20 regular season with a record of 22-43, good for 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Since then, the Bulls have made a number of changes from the front office, all the way down to the coaching staff. Executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley take over as the lead voices in the front office. And former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan takes the place of Jim Boylen as the Bulls bench boss.
There is a lot of renewed optimism around this organization heading into the fourth year of the rebuild. Training Camp has a lot of promising signs, especially among key Bulls players. Here’s a look into the three individual players with the most to prove in camp this year.
