There’s still a few names out there on the free agent market that could be valuable additions to the Chicago Bulls Training Camp/preseason roster.
Training Camp is well underway around the NBA, and the Chicago Bulls were able to begin group workouts at the Advocate Center early this week. The festivities at camp began last week, with individual player workouts tipping off on Dec. 1. And it won’t be long until the start of the 2020-21 preseason, and then regular season, arrive.
The Bulls tip off their four-game preseason slate against superstar guard James Harden and the Houston Rockets at home at the United Center on Dec. 11. Then the Bulls get the Rockets once more at home before hitting the road to face the Oklahoma City Thunder for their final two games of the preseason slate, on Dec. 17 and 19.
Throughout the offseason so far, the Bulls made a lot of moves stemming from change within the front office all the way down to the coaching staff. The Bulls replaced former vice president of basketball operations John Paxson with Arturas Karnisovas, who takes over as the lead voice in the front office. And then Karnisovas replaced Gar Forman with Marc Eversley, who takes over as the general manager.
Another significant hire was made back on Sep. 22, with former Thunder head coach Billy Donovan taking over for Jim Boylen as the Bulls bench boss. The Donovan hire brings a lot of excitement to the table for what’s to come next season since he is a proven winner from his time as the Florida Gators and Thunder head coach.
The Training Camp roster for the Bulls looks to be mostly formed out, but they even added the likes of former Vanderbilt Commodores big man Simi Shittu on Dec. 6. If there is any room left to add another free agent with some potential to the Training Camp roster, who can the Bulls target?
