Chicago Bulls: 3 2021 draft prospects to watch this college hoops season

Which three early 2021 NBA Draft Lottery prospects are worth zoning in on right now for the Chicago Bulls in the 2020-21 college hoops season?

It’s hard to exactly know where the Chicago Bulls will be picking come the 2021 NBA Draft, as that will not be determined for more than eight months now. We have yet to even start the 2020-21 regular season. The 2020-21 NBA regular season is set to tip off on Dec. 22, although that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s when the Bulls schedule begins.

The Bulls do tip off their preseason schedule this year on Dec. 11, returning to action at home at the United Center for the first time since mid-March. The last time that the Bulls played a meaningful game at the United Center was in a March 10 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now they will get a chance to prove themselves in preseason action on Dec. 11, against superstar guard James Harden and the Houston Rockets.

Maybe the preseason could go a long way to telling us what lies ahead for the Bulls heading into the fourth year of the rebuild. But in all likelihood, we won’t know what lies ahead for this rejuvenated Bulls team under the direction of newly hired head coach Billy Donovan until at least a few weeks into the regular season.

That doesn’t mean that it’s too early for the Bulls new front office regime to start scouting out their top prospects for the 2021 NBA Draft. Configuring an early NBA Draft big board, or at least some type of draft strategy, is never something that executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley can do too early.
