Two former Chicago Bulls will be taking on a number of potential free agent targets for Arturas Karnisovas in the NBA Finals.

The start of the NBA Finals is just one day away, and there’s a lot of intrigue as to what this matchup between the five-seed Miami Heat and top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers brings to the table. Even pertinent to the Chicago Bulls, a few storylines from the NBA Finals will carry into the offseason. One of the storylines that always surfaces for the Finals for the teams that didn’t even make the postseason (like the Bulls this year) is stock watch for looming free agents and trade targets.

Looming free agents and players that could be on the trade block always have a lot of attention fall on their performances in the Finals. And in a way, their play is usually over-analyzed since it’s just four or seven games of an entire season’s body of work that people are dissecting.

But this is about all the Bulls can do right now that is relevant to them in terms of meaningful games occurring at this point of the year. And they get to watch a handful of their former players from recent years take part on both sides of this battle in the NBA Finals.

On the Lakers side, former Bulls veteran point guard Rajon Rondo is trying to help lead the way for the Lakers backcourt rotation. And on the Heat side, former Bulls star wing Jimmy Butler has pushed his team farther than really anyone thought he could.

Where do the Bulls look among those looming free agents competing in the NBA Finals that they could target this offseason, once the series has concluded?
