With OTA’s not too far away from starting for the Chicago Bulls, the players should be ready to get back up and running in some regard for workouts/practices this offseason. The Bulls really haven’t had any meaning team workouts/practices/games since back in mid-March. Their last game was played back on March 10, in a home win at the United Center over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The best Bulls players are going to have to be exactly that to lead the way in team workouts/practices starting next month. That includes key pieces of the young core such as point guard Coby White, shooting guard Zach LaVine, and center Wendell Carter Jr., among others. The Bulls also need key pieces of the young core to step up and improve during OTA’s such as power forward Lauri Markkanen, center Daniel Gafford, and small forward Chandler Hutchison.

LaVine is definitely the most notable of the potential All-Star selections that the Bulls could have over the course of the next season or two. It looks like he has spent much of his offseason trying to work on improving his game during the offseason so far, at least from what we’ve seen from him on social media.

In an Instagram post on Aug. 23, Pure Sweat showed off LaVine with his impressive shooting range from way beyond the arc. LaVine was already getting better with his three-point shooting percentages during the 2019-20 season. If he continues to get better from that range, it’s scary to think about where his game could go from here.

During the 2019-20 season, LaVine played in 60 games (all of which he started in). In those 60 games played, he averaged 25.5 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks. He did that while shooting 45.0 percent from the field, 38.0 percent from beyond the arc, and 80.2 percent from the free-throw line.

In the season that was for the Bulls, LaVine posted his best three-point shooting percentage during his time in Chicago thus far. It was the third-best three-point percentage of his career in total (there were two higher from his early years with the Minnesota Timberwolves).

LaVine is about to enter his seventh season in the NBA, at 25 years old. The former UCLA Bruins product and 6-foot-6 and 180 pound shooting guard needs to have a solid campaign, and could be a possible first time All-Star selection (as he nearly was during the 2019-20 season).
