2. LaMelo Ball, Point Guard

At this point, the former Illawarra Hawks 6-foot-7 and 185 pound NBL point guard LaMelo Ball seems like the consensus prospect to go No. 1 overall in the 2020 draft. Ball is the brother of former Los Angeles Lakers and current New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball, who was a top three pick in the 2017 draft.

The Ball brothers have some true star potential if they can find that outside shot that tends to elude them consistently. But Lonzo finally seemed to have found his stroke from downtown this season. And while LaMelo shot just 25.0 percent from beyond the arc, he can continue to work to get that number up like his brother.

In the current season with the Pelicans, Lonzo is shooting a much improved 37.5 percent from beyond the arc. He shot below 34.0 percent from downtown for his career prior to the start of the 2019-20 season.

LaMelo seems to be a favorite at this point to land with someone like the Cleveland Cavaliers or New York Knicks. But the Bulls should not pass up on him if they get the chance to add him to the mix. The Bulls would likely have to score the No. 1 overall pick in this draft class to ensure landing him.

In his one season in the NBL with Illawarra, Ball averaged 17.0 points per game, 7.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.1 blocks. He also shot 37.5 percent from the field and 72.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The natural two-way ability of Ball along with his potential as a floor general to be a star in the NBA makes him too good to pass up if the Bulls could snag him this year.
